The Will, a short film by Patrick Kiernan, is an Official Selection of the ReelHeART International Film Festival Toronto, Canada June 16-21, 2008. The film will screen on Thursday, June 19, 2008 following the feature presentation beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the RHIFF VENUE Program site in the Southern Accent Restaurant (Cajun, Creole & Soul Restaurant), 595 Markham Street (1 Block West of Honest Ed's), Toronto, ON M6G 2L7.
Starring Paul Petersen ("The Donna Reed Show"), Betsy Baker ("The Evil Dead"), Peter Bedard, Alexander Georgiev, Patrick Kiernan, Debi Mouradjian, Ken Tipton and Dian Van Patten, The Will is a hilarious yet heartfelt look at the meaning of friendship when one from a group of friends introduces a unique way of creating his Last Will and Testament.
A middle-aged woman brings her new boyfriend to meet her group of friends who have known each other for the last 20 years and who meet each Friday afternoon and evening at one of the friend's home. The new boyfriend gets to know the established group of friends through the unique method in which one of the friends approaches the creation of his Will and the reactions and emotions this approach puts all of them through. From laughter to anger to sadness and back again to laughter, this short film is about the importance and non-judgmental durability of true friendship. |
